South Florida Times: Summer Jam to Rock ’n Reggae on the waterfront Featuring Inner Circle

WEST PALM BEACH — The Summer Jam Rock n’ Reggae Music Festival — a one-of-a-kind eclectic music showcase that gathers energetic and awe-inspiring talent from both the rock and reggae worlds — is returning with another all-star lineup for Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the Meyer Amphitheatre, Flagler Drive and Datura Street on the waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach.

The two-day music showcase will include full sets from the soulful Etana, known for her hits Reggae, I Am Not Afraid and People Talk; rising reggae roots band Rootz Underground whose set will include Rain with the special appearance of Yasmin Brown; reggae icon band Inner Circle playing all their classics, and Tarrus Riley with his melodic music infused with attributes for everyone to enjoy will be joined by special guest Dean Fraser and the Blak Soil Band.

The stellar lineup of 16 bands will also feature the Bahamas Junkanoo Revue and the Florida surf-reggae legends Boxelder as they reunite exclusively at Summer Jam 2013. Boxelder has not performed publicly in over nine years.

Gates open at 12 noon with music starting at 1 p.m. on both days. Tickets are available online at MusicJamProductions.com and at local retail stores and restaurants listed on the website.

Children 10 and under are free with a parent. Advance tickets are $30 for general admission each day or $50 for both days.

VIP tickets are available for an additional cost and an opportunity to hang out with the bands. Tickets at the door will be $40 for a single day or $70 for a two-day pass. A special VIP Area is available for an additional cost of $75 per person per day, limited to 200 people per day.
